Malaysia Airlines Advertisement|Design Course Offer Project “Escape the Grind” (Canva, 2025)
Project Background
This ad was created as part of a design course project, where we learned how to craft offers that visually stand out and attract attention.
“When you exaggerate a visual idea, you open the door to a broader audience.”
The goal was clear: Make something more creative and bold than a typical travel ad.
Instead of just showing beautiful destinations, I wanted to create a feeling — a moment of transformation, escape, and freedom.
Creative Concept
Inspired by the portal scenes in Doctor Strange, I used the idea of a plane flying through a fiery portal to symbolize:
~ Escaping the monotony of daily life
~ Stepping into a new dimension of adventure
~ The freedom to go wherever you want, whenever you need to
This creative exaggeration gave the ad a cinematic edge — turning a routine flight promo into a visual story that stops the scroll.
Key Message
“Escape the Grind, Embrace the Journey” This headline speaks directly to working adults who feel stuck in routine. The offer (20% OFF, RM988 start price) grounds the fantasy into a realistic action step.
