Assignment MAC Lipstick Advertisement|Emotional Impact Through Color and Concept (Canva, 2025)

This project was a product-focused design assignment where I chose to create an ad for MAC’s Retro Matte Lipstick.
The goal:
Sell more than a product — sell attraction, emotion, and attention.

Creative Concept

The ad features a single red lipstick mark on a crisp white collar, with the headline:
 “Love Affair” — implying a story of seduction, confidence, and boldness.
This minimal yet powerful concept suggests:

~ The lipstick stays on — and so does the impression.
~ It’s not just about color payoff. It’s about leaving a mark — visually and emotionally.

Design & Color Strategy

This project taught me the importance of:
~ Color dominance: Red immediately draws the eye and emotionally triggers passion, desire, and boldness
~ Contrast: The stark white background maximizes visual focus on the lipstick mark
~ Typography balance: Elegant serif fonts were used to match MAC’s premium brand tone


I learned that color doesn’t just decorate — it directs attention and tells a story.
“A great lipstick ad doesn’t just show color — it shows who you become when you wear it.”
This project was a reminder that in product marketing, emotion is the real currency.
